        Man's failure to obey God's laws, especially the ones regarding money, is a central theme of prophecy.  The Israelites were defeated by Babylon due to Israel's failure to obey God's command to forgive all debts every 7 years and every 50 years.  This resulted in the punishment of the 70 years of Babylonian captivity as observed by Daniel.  But, still, Israel did not repent, and so, the punishment was increased, and from this, we get a time period in the future often called "Daniel's 70th week", also known as the "seven year tribulation".   During this future time, I expect to see the fulfillment of the "Mark of the Beast" (666) from Revelation 13.  Before the tribulation, before the mark of the beast, I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will come for his bride, to rapture her, and take her away to heaven for 7 years, to return with her after the tribulation, to rule on earth.

       This website presents an extremely thorough defense of the rapture, and why I believe it will be before the tribulation.  I also refute nearly all popular arguments that come against the doctrine.

        But before the rapture, perhaps well before the year 2030, I believe there will come a world government, which will be the 7th beast of Revelation 17-18, that comes prior to the antichrist's 8th beast government with the "mark of the beast".  If the 8th beast is a world government, then it stands to reason that the 7th beast will also be a world government.  But the money of the 7th beast will likely be silver and gold (not the 666 mark of the beast system); just as all prior world governments in human history and Bible prophecy used gold for money.  God sets up kingdoms on earth according to his will (Daniel 4).  Using gold as money brings peace and prosperity (along with covetousness), which are described in Ezekiel 38-39, which I expect will take place prior to the rapture, and prior to the return of the Lord Jesus. 

       Why is the mark of the beast money system so evil?  It is a monetary system based on everything the opposite of what God gave us to use as money: which is gold and silver.  The 666 system is a permission-based, cooersive, forceful, 'no freedom' type of an economic system.  The 666 system is the exact opposite of the freedom and prosperity that results from using gold and silver as money.

        The Lord will NOT protect the fraud of the dollar, just because it says "In God we Trust" on your money.  God hates all frauds, and so should you. 

Key points on money often not preached: 
  1. False weights and measures are an abomination.
  2. The dollar is a broken promise to pay an unjust measure of silver or gold.
  3. The borrower is the servant to the lender
  4. You were bought for a price (with the blood of Jesus) so do not become the slaves of men.
  5. Usury (charging interest on a debt) is forbidden, except to a foreigner.
  6. Although Jews could lend to strangers, Christians are told to love their enemies.

Many people think the mark of the beast is the social security number.  It certainly comes awfully close, and more each day as its use is becoming quite mandatory in ever increasing ways.  In 1999, I scoffed at the idea that the social security number was the mark of the beast.  But by 2001, I decided to take a stand, and I found out something quite shocking!
As of 2001 - 2004 The rulings of the Federal Appeals Courts in the U.S. now say:  You can be discriminated against in employment if you do not have a Social Security Number!  Social Security: voluntary in law, mandatory in practice? This link is a journal of my ongoing legal battle regarding my attempt to follow my religious beliefs and stand up for my rights under the law to not use a social security number, starting from Dec. 2001 to June 2004

June 2004.  My federal law suit (based on Title VII, religious discrimination) against my employer, who fired me because I refused to get a social security number, was dismissed by the 9th Circuit and I decided not to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Read my concluding thoughts on why I decided not to appeal.
